Join us at the Rockford Senior Center (313 School Street) on Sunday, April 26th at 2 pm for our regular quarterly meeting and for a presentation by Chip Gates, Historian of the Lake Mitchell HOBO association. The engaging program will cover Native American history in western Coosa County, the history of Fixico Creek and the Fixico mines, the history of Little Joe’s Fish Camp, as well as the community of Dollar which is now covered by Lake Mitchell. He will share stories, photos, and a few artifacts during the program. This will be a fascinating look at this piece of Coosa County history. The public is invited and membership is not required.
